Tina's Blog

Hi, I’m Tina Chisnell; welcome to my blog. If you are a prospective client please take a moment to browse through the showcase pages for examples of my portrait photography.

I like to think of this blog as my virtual scrap book; it’s the place where I keep the other photos and stories I collect as I go about my days, building my business around my passion.

Opportunity knocks

If I rewind back 6 years ago, my only wish was for my photographs to be on someone’s wall – not including that of family since they’re sort of obligated to put my photographs up regardless of the quality. I achieved that pretty early on through taking family portraits and then doing a few calendars featuring scantily clad locals (I still wish I could re-live some of those moments – they look like so much fun) and some postcards. As I realised these ambitions, they just got bigger. I’m still not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. On one hand, it keeps me aiming higher and bettering myself. On the other hand, it can lead to dissatisfaction and can make me forget how far I have come. I have to keep reminding myself of my first wish with my business and remember that whatever happens, I did achieve it.

Just when I was getting itchy feet and looking for the next “thing” I could do with my business to keep me on my toes, an opportunity literally fell on my doorstep.  I was asked to be the appointed photographer for BizzyKidz agency. It’s funny when you don’t even know what you’re looking for and then the right thing comes looking for you.

It’s the perfect job at the perfect time – 2018 looks like it’s going to be a good’un.
